Our commitment

Owl's Roost targets WCAG 2.2 AA contrast in both the dark "night sky" and light "morning mist" themes (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large), with EAA-aware compliance preparation in mind. The platform is keyboard-navigable end to end, and reduced-motion is honoured globally — every animation collapses to ≤80ms when the user's system preference asks for it.

What's working

Every interactive primitive — buttons, links, accordions, sheets, dialogs, dropdowns — ships with a brand-coloured focus ring at 4.5:1 against its surface. Semantic markup is provided by Radix UI primitives, which give us correct ARIA roles, focus management, and portal-aware screen-reader patterns out of the box. The Sheet, Dialog, Popover, and Tooltip components are all wrapped through our owl/ component layer to guarantee a single source of truth for keyboard and screen-reader behaviour.

What we're improving

We have known gaps. Colour contrast for the marketing site's amber accents is being re-tuned in the next design pass — the current ratio is borderline at body-text sizes. Alt text on product screenshots is being expanded to describe the surfaces, not just name them. And the lead-capture popup needs richer keyboard coverage on its second step. All three are tracked in the design system's open-issues list and ship before the EAA deadline.

Found a barrier?

Email accessibility@owlsroost.ai with a description, the URL, and (if you can) your assistive-tech setup. We respond to every accessibility report within five business days and prioritise fixes in the next weekly release.
